Architecture and target user

Finale Inventory

Inventory and warehouse management for multi-channel ecommerce sellers, with barcoding, multi-location stock, procurement and replenishment. Part of Descartes, per its help center.

Worth investigating for sellers running their own warehouse across several sales channels who want onboarding bundled into the subscription.

Unleashed

Cloud inventory management from The Access Group, with batch and serial tracking, landed costs, assemblies and bills of materials, and multi-warehouse management on its Core and Pro packages.

Worth investigating for wholesalers, distributors and light manufacturers who need traceability, and for smaller teams that want a published entry price and a free trial.

Ease and implementation considerations

01

Finale Inventory

Finale says customers go live in 2–6 weeks with its onboarding team; virtual training sessions are included on every plan.

02

Unleashed

Unleashed sells onboarding separately as a one-off fee: Self-service $449, Standard $799 or Full $5,549, per its pricing page.

These are research observations, not timing or usability test results. Implementation depends on catalog, data migration, design, channels, integrations, internal skills, and partner scope.

Ecosystem and integrations

Finale Inventory

Finale lists 50+ integrations in each of its marketplace, shopping-cart, point-of-sale and shipping categories; confirm your channels on its integration list.

Unleashed

Lite and Core include 3 basic integrations and Pro includes 5; more can be bought. API calls are capped per plan (125,000, 250,000 and 500,000 a month).

Pricing approach

Finale Inventory: Essentials starts at $499/month (described as best for 1–2 warehouses), Growth at $799/month, Enterprise on custom pricing. Onboarding and support are included on every plan. Finale says most customers choose 12-, 24- or 36-month terms. Checked Oct 10, 2026.

Current Finale Inventory pricing

Unleashed: Lite $99, Core $399 and Pro $729 per month (USD, paid monthly, excluding taxes), with a 14-day free trial. Lite and Core include 3 user licenses and Pro 5; extra users cost $69/month on Lite and Core and $89 on Pro. Each plan includes 100 sales orders a month, with paid upgrades to 500, 1,500, 3,000 or unlimited. Checked Oct 10, 2026.

Current Unleashed pricing

Finale bundles onboarding and states its plans as starting prices; Unleashed's bill grows with users, sales-order volume, integrations and the onboarding tier you choose. Price both for your actual users and monthly order count.

Build a scenario-based total-cost model. Include implementation, ongoing labor, extensions, communications or payments, support, and migration—not only the published base price.

Worked example

Year-one cost for a two-warehouse brand with 5 users

A brand shipping from two of its own warehouses, with five people using the system. Unleashed needs Core for multi-warehouse; Finale's Essentials is described as for 1–2 warehouses.

Year oneFinale EssentialsUnleashed Core
Plan$499 × 12 = $5,988$399 × 12 = $4,788
Extra usersNone published2 × $69 × 12 = $1,656
OnboardingIncludedStandard $799 (or Self-service $449)
Year-one total$5,988$7,243 (or $6,893 with Self-service)
Year two$5,988$6,444

List prices from each vendor's pricing page, checked Oct 10, 2026. Finale's figures are starting prices and its terms are usually 12–36 months; ask what Essentials includes at your user and order count. Unleashed Core includes 3 users and 100 sales orders a month; a brand above 100 orders a month needs a paid order upgrade, which is not included here. Excludes taxes and integration add-ons.

What decides it. At five users and low order volume, Finale's bundled onboarding offsets its higher entry price in year one. Unleashed costs less if you stay at three users, use self-service onboarding and fit inside 100 orders a month. Above that, get Unleashed's order-upgrade price in writing before comparing.

Buyer checklist

What to check in a side-by-side trial

  • Price both for your real user count and monthly order volume, in writing.
  • Sync one sales channel in each and check stock counts after a day of orders.
  • Run a stock transfer between two warehouses.
  • Ask Finale which term length its quote assumes, and what happens at renewal.
  • Ask Unleashed what its order-upgrade tiers cost at your volume.

BestStorefront does not name a winner. Run these checks against your own catalog and volumes.
