Architecture and target user
Yotpo
A retention suite sold as separate products: Reviews and UGC, Loyalty and Referrals, and Discover for AI search visibility. Reviews and Loyalty can be bought together as a bundle.
Worth investigating for brands on Shopify, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud or WooCommerce that want reviews and loyalty from one vendor.
Okendo
A customer marketing platform for Shopify brands with five modules: Reviews, Loyalty, Referrals, Quizzes and Surveys. Each is sold alone, in three-product bundles, or as the full platform.
Worth investigating for Shopify and Shopify Plus brands that want reviews plus quizzes, surveys or referrals from one vendor at published tier prices.
Ease and implementation considerations
Yotpo
Free and self-serve plans sign up online. Premium includes a dedicated onboarding manager. Yotpo says non-Shopify platforms may require extra implementation and maintenance fees.
Okendo
Okendo says it charges no implementation fee for Quizzes or Referrals. On its Shopify listing, the Reviews Power plan adds managed onboarding, and paid Reviews plans list a 14-day free trial.
These are research observations, not timing or usability test results. Implementation depends on catalog, data migration, design, channels, integrations, internal skills, and partner scope.
Ecosystem and integrations
Yotpo
Yotpo lists Shopify, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, WooCommerce and Volusion, plus headless stores by API. Named integrations include Klaviyo, Gorgias, Recharge and Shopify POS.
Okendo
Okendo is a Shopify Plus Certified App and supports Shopify POS, Shopify Flow and Hydrogen. Named integrations include Klaviyo, Attentive, Postscript, Omnisend, Gorgias and Zendesk. We found no other ecommerce platforms listed.
Pricing approach
Yotpo: Reviews: Free up to 50 orders a month; Starter from $15/month, rising to $89 at 300–599 orders and $129 at 600–999, with no Starter above 999; Pro from $119/month, $169 at 300–599 orders and $329 at 3,000–3,999. Loyalty: Free up to 4,999 orders a month; Pro $199/month for the first 500 orders, then $0.20, $0.10 and $0.05 per extra order. Premium and Enterprise are quoted. Checked Oct 10, 2026.
Current Yotpo pricingOkendo: Each module is priced in four order tiers: up to 200, 1,500, 3,500 and 10,000 orders a month. Reviews and Quizzes cost $19, $119, $299 and $499 a month; Loyalty $99, $299, $699 and $999; Referrals and Surveys $19, $79, $129 and $249. Bundles of three products are listed at 30% off, and the full platform starts at $105 a month. Reviews also has a free plan for up to 50 orders on Shopify. Checked Oct 10, 2026.
Current Okendo pricingBoth vendors price by monthly orders, but the steps differ. Yotpo moves in narrow bands and charges Loyalty per extra order, so small changes in volume change the bill. Okendo moves in four wide tiers, so a store just over a tier boundary pays the next tier's full price. Price both at your real order count, and at the count you expect in a year.
Build a scenario-based total-cost model. Include implementation, ongoing labor, extensions, communications or payments, support, and migration—not only the published base price.
Worked example
Cost at 500 and 3,000 orders a month
A Shopify store that wants product reviews and a points-based loyalty program. We price each vendor's paid plans at 500 and 3,000 orders a month, using monthly list prices only. Premium, Enterprise and custom plans are left out because neither vendor publishes those prices.
| Monthly cost | Yotpo | Okendo |
|---|---|---|
| 500 orders: reviews only | Starter $89 (Pro $169) | Reviews Growth $119 |
| 500 orders: reviews + loyalty, bought separately | Pro $169 + Loyalty Pro $199 = $368 | $119 + Loyalty $299 = $418 |
| 500 orders: bundle | Pro bundle $368 | Retain bundle $348 (adds Surveys) |
| 3,000 orders: reviews only | Pro $329 (Starter stops at 999 orders) | Reviews Power $299 |
| 3,000 orders: reviews + loyalty, bought separately | Pro $329 + Loyalty Pro $499 = $828 | $299 + Loyalty $699 = $998 |
| 3,000 orders: bundle | Pro bundle $828 | Retain bundle $789 (adds Surveys) |
| 3,000 orders: bundle over 12 months | $828 × 12 = $9,936 | $789 × 12 = $9,468 |
Monthly list prices from each vendor's pricing pages, checked Oct 10, 2026, excluding taxes. Yotpo Loyalty Pro at 3,000 orders: $199 for the first 500 + 500 × $0.20 + 2,000 × $0.10 = $499, which matches its published $499 band. Yotpo's bundle price equals Reviews Pro plus Loyalty Pro at both volumes. Okendo's Retain bundle (Reviews, Loyalty, Surveys) is listed at 30% off: ($119 + $299 + $79) × 0.7 ≈ $348 and ($299 + $699 + $129) × 0.7 ≈ $789; Okendo says bundles normally require annual terms. Yotpo also offers a free Loyalty plan up to 4,999 orders with fewer features, which would make Yotpo reviews plus loyalty $89 at 500 orders and $329 at 3,000.
What decides it. Which loyalty features you need. If Yotpo's free Loyalty plan covers your program, Yotpo costs less at both volumes. If you need paid loyalty features, Yotpo is cheaper when bought separately, and Okendo's Retain bundle is $20 to $39 a month cheaper than Yotpo's bundle but normally needs an annual term. Check which loyalty features each vendor puts on the plan you would buy. See the Yotpo overview and Okendo overview for module detail.
Contract and limits
Terms and limits that cost buyers money
Order limits move you up a plan. Yotpo's Reviews Starter plan ends at 999 orders a month, so a growing store must move to Pro. Okendo's tiers end at 200, 1,500, 3,500 and 10,000 orders, and the next tier is a full step up: Okendo Loyalty goes from $299 to $699 a month when a store passes 1,500 orders.
Going over the limit costs extra. On Yotpo Reviews Pro, you can pay for a reviews booster that keeps sending requests above the limit, or upgrade and pay the prorated difference. Yotpo Loyalty Pro bills per extra order instead. Okendo lets you upgrade or buy one-off top-up order credits; it does not publish the credit price.
Bundles can lock you in. Okendo says platform and bundle subscriptions normally require annual terms. Single products can be monthly or annual, and Okendo says Quizzes and Referrals can be cancelled any time. Yotpo offers month-to-month plans for smaller brands and annual contracts for brands that want more service.
Platform and domain fees. Yotpo says non-Shopify platforms may require extra implementation and maintenance fees, and that extra domains may add fees. Get both in writing before you sign.

Buyer checklist
What to check in a side-by-side trial
- Get written quotes from both at your current order count and at double it.
- Ask each vendor what happens, and what it costs, in your busiest month.
- Import your existing reviews into each and check that star ratings show in Google results.
- Set up one points rule and one reward in each loyalty module and place a test order.
- Ask Okendo the price of top-up order credits and whether your bundle can be monthly.
- Ask Yotpo which loyalty features its free plan leaves out that your program needs.
